The first meeting of the "Differences that Keep us United” project was held in October, 2009, in Hungary. There were 14 teachers from the partner countries: Bulgaria, Poland, Greece, Italy, Germany and Spain. The meeting was organised in Bodnar Bertalan Education Centre, Mártély near Hódmezővásárhely. During the 6 days we organised a conference, in which each country introduced its education system and the main sights of their countries.
During their stay the teachers visited our school, the Liszt Ferenc Primary School, where they could take part in a Music lesson, and a concert was organised by our students. We also presented the sights of our town, the Town Hall, the Pottery, the Rememberance Point and the Catholic Church.
On the last day the guests took part on a trip to Ópusztaszer, which is a historical memorial place of the Hungarian Nation.
On the last evening we ended the meeting with a Hungarian folklore night with dancers and folk musicians.
The days together were nice and memorable, and it was a great pleasure for us to organise it.
